The stunning Rapide was designed by Vincent-HRD as a touring bike. Our model dates from 1949 and is already fitted with the Girdraulic trapezoidal fork. Vincent-HRD continued production in Stevenage until 1955. These high-quality motorbikes still impress today with their design, first-class engineering and reliability. Philip C. Vincent founded the company together with Howard R. Davies. Vincent is regarded as the inventor of the cantilever swingarm, which was introduced in 1924. Our Rapide is in superb condition and has matching numbers; on a Vincent, this means that the numbers on the lower and upper frames are identical and correspond correctly to the engine number.
