Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
Last of the Stevenage-built machines, the Vincent Series D model featured enveloping fibreglass 'all weather' protection bodywork and was fitted with improved suspension and a user-friendly centre stand
Series D model sales figures were not as projected, customers still preferred an un-faired bike and only circa 200 enclosed models were produced
Regarded by some as the best riding Vincent produced, unfortunately these bikes became the downfall of the company with Vincent losing money on each Model D sold
This mostly original and unrestored example is presented in good overall condition and is on its original registration
Factory records held by the VOC don't include the Series D therefore its despatch information is unknown
Missing its side panels and points cover, these may be found and if so will be included in the sale
UK-registered from new and same owner since 2001
Complete with history file containing old V5s, old RF60 green log book dated 1967 and some Black Knight decals
Frame number is RD12881/ F but incorrectly documented on old RF60 and V5C as RD12331/ F, this can be rectified with assistance from the VOC
Correct crankcase numbers
Not used for some time so will require some recommissioning before road use
UK registered on a current V5C
