FOR SALE - The 'Holy Grail' of the slot car world - an original 1960's Scalextric C70 Bugatti Type 59, in totally original condition, with NO replacement parts what so ever!
I enjoyed collecting Scalextric cars since the 70’s and have since sold all my collection. This Bugatti has belong to myself since 1985 when I bought it from a family in an adjacent town near Bournemouth. They answered my small private lineage add in a local newspaper for 1960’s Scalextric Cars and Accessories.
I learned that the model once belong to a relative who worked for Minimodels in Hampshire, and was the firms scale designer. Unlike the Bentley, Alfa Romeo and Auto Union from the Scalexrtic vintage range, Bugatti models did not appear in the shops although some were offered to some staff as keepsakes. From the 600 that were supposed to be produced, there are now only maybe 30 in existance. There have been some deriatives made by permission of Hornby during the 90's in assorted colours, but NON are as exclusive as mine! The model is in its original box and is thought to be the only one in existance in a box, but unfortunatly there are no instructions!
