Offered for sale is a lovely, genuine Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3 Door in Diamond White with only 60125 miles from new.
Having been loved, well cared for and garaged throughout it's life, this car has covered just 60125 miles since new and has a fully stamped Service Book upto 45818 miles. Every penny spent mainly upto and since this time is receipted and documented in a A4 binder which includes all previous MOT's and Tax Discs since 1992. In the last 17 years just 15000 miles have been covered and just 4000 of these miles in the last 10 of the seventeen years.
Exterior:
Presented in Diamond White, this Cosworth creates massive amounts of attention wherever it goes. The paint still retains a deep lustre, however it is not without the odd tiny stone chip that has been touched in over the last 26 years. Some areas have had paint, but please remember that it is 26 years old. All the rubbers are like new, with no distortion or deterioration, this just emphasises the fact that the car has always been kept indoors and away from the wet weather. All the glass is very good and original, all the plastic's including the bodykit and body-side mouldings are also very good. Engine Bay is very clean and tidy. Sunroof channels are clean and rust free and the sunroof opens very easily as it should. Underneath is covered in a thin layer of waxoil which was applied years ago. Inner wings, sills, A-Posts, back panel, bulkhead etc are excellent and solid.
Interior:
The interior is presented in a totally original and very near perfect state. The Recaro seats are in superb condition with no softening of the bolsters, and they have no rips or tears anywhere. The headlining is in lovely condition and retains it's original shape with no sagging ( a very rare find in one of these ). All switches and gauges work as they should including the Multi-Function Display unit. The dashboard is quite simply superb. The original Ford Head Unit and Amplifier are in place and in fully working order, as is the original Electric Aerial, which again is fully operational and smooth. The original 3 spoke Leather Steering Wheel is still fitted and is in excellent condition. All door cards are uncut and again excellent as is the carpet. The original Parcel Shelf is very straight and not sagging and the Boot Carpet again is in excellent condition. Overall, internally I would say it pretty much is as good as you will find anywhere.
Engine/ Transmission/ Suspension:
This Cosworth has benefitted from some very minor and sensible modifications. The engine is running a Collins Performance Engineering Stage 1 conversion. This consisted at the time of an upgraded Chip, Dump Valve and K & N Air Filter and was designed to produce a sensible 270 BHP. It has a full Stainless Steel Mongoose Exhaust and a full set of Koni adjustable Shocks. A Quick-Shift gear selector was also fitted. Receipts are present for all the above work.
At 51500 miles the car benefitted from a full engine and turbo rebuild at a cost in excess of £2500 and this was back in June 2000. Once the engine was fully run in after the rebuild, the above modifications were then carried out.
New Brake Discs and Pads have been fitted all round and the car has also had a very recent Cambelt change.
Wheels and Tyres:
5 original RS Cosworth alloys are still fitted and include the original Centre Caps. I currently do not have the Centre Cap Locks in my posession, however I am still trying to obtain these from the owner. I am confident that I will get these but please appreciate that this is not a promise! The wheels are in need of refurbishment and in honesty they do let the car down. A couple of the wheels are kerbed but the others are just a bit flakey. I have been quoted £68 per wheel plus VAT, including the Centre Caps to be returned to as new condition. This is by Prestige Alloys in Milton Keynes and they offer a collect and deliver service to your door for the above price. A couple of tyres are getting low and would need replacing. Included within the sale is a set of 16" OZ Alloys with "As New" tyres.

Summary:
A very well cared for and cherished car that can be used and enjoyed. It has had some paint at some point but in my opinion I think it will hold it's own against any other Cosworth that is priced this side of £20k. Recent sharp price increases have seen very good and possibly perfect cars achieving over £27k at the last Silverstone auctions which were held on 16th November this year. Results are available to view online. What we have got is a very, very nice example with lovely mileage, history, a superb interior, nice lengthy ownership and stacks of paperwork. The wheels do need refurbising, however I have priced the car very sensibly and with a little bit of money spent on minor improvements over the next few years this is sure to be a very good investment that can be enjoyed.
I have the latest V5, 2 sets of keys and stacks of paperwork to substantiate the very low miles along with previous MOT's, service bills, old Tax discs etc...
The price is best offer over £12000. As mentioned the car is priced very sensibly and silly offers will not be listened to.
