Beschreibung
This Suffix D Range Rover 2 door was bought by its previous owner in 1981, used for ten years then parked up in a dark, dry barn on a Somerset farm in 1991. It does require some chassis and body restoration, but is very complete and has a good interior, dash and trim. It also needs mechanical recommissioning and will need to be collected with a trailer.
Delivered new in October 1975, it has had just 4 owners in total, the last for 33 years. Finished in Bahama Gold with optional power steering, Fairey overdrive, inertia reel front seat belts and herringbone fabric seats. It was Ziebart rustproofed at some point (there are loads of tell tale Ziebart plugs around the A and B pillar door shuts).
I have cleaned and inspected the car to establish the condition of all elements, and will list them using the following key:

This is a genuine barn-find early Range Rover 2 door requiring some body restoration and mechanical recommissioning. Most of the hard to source parts are present except the headlining and correct Wingard bonnet mirrors. It is definitely better than most restoration projects – I have taken over 100 pictures of all aspects of the car, available to view on my Flickr site here - details above details below96/
There is of course no MOT or road tax (although this will be free from 2015 as the car will be 40 years old). The car is sold for restoration and as seen.
The car will require collection by trailer, or I can offer delivery at £1 per mile one way.
