Ford Cortina GT MK2 for sale. Sold as a restoration projet, the car has been unused for the last 25 years but garaged in a dry building.
It is completely original, and the bodyshell is in good condition. Floor pans are perfect with no rust at all (they look like first day indeed). Underneath is also very good with no rust. Engine bay looks completely original with no signs of previous accidents or weldings but the front turrets would need to be welded, as usual in these MK2's.
Only missing parts are the front windscreen and the LH door window but these are easily obtainable. Also some gauges are missing/ broken. All chrome looks good as the chrome parts were greased when the car was put in storage.
The car will come with its original GT wheels, the ones shown in the photos were put to get the car rolling as the rubber in the car was broken due to so many years in the garage.
It has no documents but it has an ID, Spanish plates, a technical certificate from the Spanish DVLNA (showing a Cortina GT 1300) and a sales invoice will be supplied.
Ideal to make a replica of the Cortina GT works rally cars, to make a Lotus or to restore to original GT spec.
The car is located in Spain but can be sent to UK or most of the European contries at competitive rates. Other locations possible too. We will assist with the transport and help you as much as we can with this.
