To celebrate the finale of 35 years of Firebird, Pontiac introduced a limited run 2002 Collectors Edition Special.
Elements unique to the Collectors Edition included a special Yellow paint scheme, detailed interior appointments, Special Edition emblems,
and the WS6 performance and handling package.
Convertible power hood.
The Collectors Edition features a special Firebird graphic package which links with the bonnet designers of seventies and eighties Trans Am models.
Black “Racing Stripes” designs adorn the bonnet and wraps around the doors and rear quarter panels.
The rear facia also get special treatment with a two-tone Yellow and Black treatment.
Collectors Edition and Trans Am name plates accent the lower doors.
Staying true to the tradition of the WS6 performance and handling package exterior appointments, the Collectors Edition includes Black painted WS6 wheels with machined face surfaces, Black brake callipers, and Black painted axles.
Goodyear Eagle F1 performance tyres are standard fit.
Inside is the exclusive interior trim.
The seats are wrapped in Ebony leather with the headrests featuring embroidered Collectors Edition logos, also Collectors Edition logo mats.
The WS6 package features the LS1 5. 7L V8 which churns out 325 h. p.
A limited run of 488 convertibles with auto box were produced.
