Mercedes Benz 380SEC W126
Imported by a dealer to UK in 1987 and sold to the current owner on logbook. I bought it earlier this year as a trade sale and have not registered it in my name.
Last on the road in December 2010 but was laid up after the owner bought a smaller car.
Odd reads 190, 000KMs (c. 120, 000 miles)
I fitted a new battery and put a couple of gallons of fuel in her and she fired straight up. Goes into gear but I have not driven it as the brake pedal goes straight to the floor with no pressure. I have not looked into this. It has since sat in my yard for 2 months looking sorry for itself and realistically I'm never going to get around to sorting her, would rather it go to a good home.
The car was resprayed in 2001. There is a load of history with it including a pretty much fully stamped Mercedes Benz Brentford Service History (a couple of independent specialists in recent years). There is some damage to the drivers door and front wing where they were apparently kicked in by a drunken neighbour, I had a dent pulled out of the door by Dent Master but both need painting.
Interior is all there but front seats have seen much, much better days. rest of it isn't actually too bad and would come up with a good clean.
This is by no means a rust bucket either. Nothing really underneath and is hasn't rotted out in the usual places (arches, boot aperture etc.)
Was put on a Q plate when imported from South Africa.
