EXTERIOR
This imposing V8 looks stunning in it’s brilliant silver metallic finish with the renowned AMG styling. As a Millennium face lift model, the car wears front and rear body aprons with dynamic side skirts and xenon headlights.
Prepared by our in-house detailing team, this example has responded particularly well – with bright and consistent coachwork the chrome grill, lights and badges tell a similar story.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The M113 5. 4L is a 5. 4 L version with the same 97 mm bore as the M113 E50 but with a longer 92 mm stroke.
The standard Mercedes-Benz M113s are built in Untertürkheim, Germany, while the AMG versions assembled at AMG’s Affalterbach. M113s have aluminum engine blocks and aluminum SOHC cylinder heads with two spark plugs per cylinder. Other features include SFI fuel injection, fracture-split forged steel connecting rods, a one-piece cast camshaft, and a magnesium intake manifold.
The 5 speed is in superb health with shifts operating seamlessly. Another new feature only seen on the facelift model is that of ‘Touch Shift’, in essence this system allowed manual gear changes operated through the stick once selected in +/-.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The AMG monoblock staggered 18-inch wheels show in impeccable condition with no marks or scratches to all four wheels.
Tyres are 235/ 40 on the front and 265/ 35 on the rear, all marked with Pirelli’s finest P Zero stamp and showing plenty of tread remaining.
HISTORY FILE
This Japanese supplied E55 has enjoyed a meticulous service routine with ten visits at 6k, 13k, 25k, 37k, 41k, 52k, 54k, 56k, 57k and 64k kilometres.
The original service book is stamped to 52k with a plethora of invoicing and paperwork to supplement the fantastic condition of the car.
The owners pack is complete with all books and a spare key. All taxes have been paid from new.
