First registered in Exeter, Devon on the 25th October 1965 this lovely Jaguar MKII 3. 4 Saloon - Chassis No: 169293DN is a 'matching numbers' car finished in Indigo Blue with Red Leather trim and Red carpets, 3. 4 Litre Engine, 5 Speed Getrag Manual Gearbox, Power Assisted Steering, uprated Cooper Craft Brakes and copper brake pipes, Kenlowe Electric Cooling Fan, Electronic Ignition, Heated Rear Window, uprated Radiomobile Classic Stereo, New Fuel Tank, Fuel Pump and Sender Unit, Alternator Conversion, Koni Adjustable Shock Absorbers, uprated front Coil Springs and rear Leaf Springs, original tool kit and painted Wire Wheels.
This car has now had 6 former keepers from new and it was purchased by the current owner in July 1995. He commissioned Four Classics in Wimbledon to carry out a full photographed restoration of the car which included many new panels and lead loading of the bodyshell and the car was repainted from its original Grey in Indigo Blue @ a cost of almost £5, 000.
The interior trim was all replaced with new Red Leather seat covers and Red carpets, new Headlining, all interior wood restored and many upgrades fitted as mentioned above + all chrome work was either replaced or rechromed and the car was fully Waxoyled and it has an electronic anti rust device fitted.
The Engine was also rebuilt by Vintage Sports Engines (VSE) upon completion of the main restoration of the car in 2000 with the mileage on the car at 88, 700 and it has only covered 2, 500 miles since (91, 200).
The car was used sparingly and MOT'd every year since the restoration but it was put in to storage in 2013 and has only just been recommissioned and MOT'd in June 2017 and with no advisories!
The car drives beautifully and the interior is still excellent, but there are a few paint blemishes that have appeared since the restoration 17 years ago and which the owner has tried to rectify himself, but nothing serious. To make it perfect, it would require repainting some panels and the asking price reflects this!
The car will receive a pre-sales service before delivery to the new owner and it will come with our own 6 Month extendable Mechanical Warranty.
