This 1986 Porsche 924S has an astonishing history. It has been in the same ownership for the majority of its life. It was originally the gentleman’s company car and he liked it so much, he bought it and cherished it. The fastidious owner kept every document relating to the car’s servicing; each time it went into the workshop, he wrote a polite letter, outlining the work required, and copies of these have been kept. There’s even a record of a parking ticket!
Last year, the Porsche was recommissioned, with a major service including new cam belts and tensioners, water pump, spark plugs and more. It will go through our workshop before sale and receive another service.
The 924’s Guards Red paintwork is in excellent condition and the car has the correct ‘telephone dial’ wheels. The interior is finished in black ‘Porsche’ pinstripe fabric and is also in good condition, apart from the inevitable small cracks to the dashboard top.
The 924S is the last and best of the 924 range, with the same 2. 5-litre engine as the 944, but in a lighter body that retains the purity of the 924’s lines. Today, good examples of this modern classic Porsche are hard to come by, which is why we were drawn towards this very collectable example.
Unless otherwise stated, all our cars are put through a thorough independent mechanical inspection and any faults found are rectified before sale. They are also issued with 12 months’ MoT (without any advisories) and a six month warranty underwritten by us. Part exchange and finance available.
