Originally built late Nov/ Dec 1979 this Car is one the first UK supplied 924 turbos. Registered March 1980 by Lancaster cars, Norwich I assume this may have been a showroom car given the time between build and registration. Supplied in the rare launch colour Alpine White over Guards Red two tone paint scheme used in the Porsche press material and synonimous with the 924 turbo at the time. Bought by myself in Dec 2009 and in very fine fettle having been extremely looked after by previous owners and coming with a full file of receipts. Despite being in a great condition the car has been slowly refurbished, updated and modified to be on par performance to the rare 924 Carrera GTS over the last 8 years. A bare metal body repaint externally and in the engine bay, new sports suspension, chassis and brake refresh, 7x16 Fuchs alloys fitted with new R888R’s, refurbished interior with super supportive Porsche/ Recaro Sports seats and finally fully rebuilt engine and turbo charger which has been improved and modified with bespoke and upgraded parts to finally achieve a proven 225bhp at 1. 0bar boost. Probably more with recent engine work and small increased boost. Engine also sees a front mounted 944 intercooler, bespoke intake system, Mittelmotor adjustable ignition system and data logged to manage all temps, boost etc. In an a slightly lightened 1100kg sports sprung chassis with sticky R888R tyres on the 7'' Fuchs, its an incredibly fun car on and off roads. The slightly increased boost is really addictive and surprises more modern cars. If Porsche had built a narrow body 924 turbo “Clubsport”, then this is what it would most certainly look like. A unique and well known 924 turbo in the Porsche scene having won several show awards, magazine featured and won over much praise in recent years by lovers and haters of the 924. The car comes with large file of history in my mine and previous ownership, supporting documents, paperwork and brochures and with reams of receipts in excess of £30k spent. Porsche 924 turbos are a rare sight with sub 60 cars registered for the road in the UK, even more so in this condition, absolutely unique with this kind of improvements and looks. Many original parts and rare spares are potentially available such as refurbed wheels, replacement panels and parts which are near impossible to find. The original parts are offered should a more stock set be preferred or spares package be required. A stunning and unique example of the 924 turbo.
