EQUIPMENT
17-inch alloy wheels, power steering, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric seats, heated seats, xenon headlamps, remote central locking, radio/ 6 CD changer, climate control, alarm, tool kit, spare key, owner’s manuals.
EXTERIOR
The Amber Red Metallic exterior paint is in near new condition throughout on this R129 SL320. The car has a factory fresh depth of shine and still retains a beautiful gloss to the lacquer. There is no rust, blemishes or scratches. Likewise, all light lenses and trim retain an as new appearance. The factory glass is present all around the vehicle with the Mercedes etchings on all of the windows and the side windows on the hard top. The soft top is as new, with the Mercedes etchings on all of the rear screens which are still clear and not hazy.
INTERIOR
The Java Leather is in near new condition throughout, with absolutely no wear to be found. The carpet, trim, switches are as new. The seat bolsters are also completely unworn and are free from any scuffs or sagging. The dashboard and centre console are also in equally fine condition, with no cracks or sun damage to be found.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This R129 SL320 is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s finest 3. 2-litre V6 unit, mated to the five-speed automatic gearbox. This results in a silky-smooth drivetrain and this car is no exception. It performs perfectly and the car drives beautifully. Kick down works seamlessly when needed, with the automatic gearbox making light work of the operation. The engine still sounds tight. The engine bay is completely original and again retains the appearance of a new car.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 17-inch alloy wheels are in as new condition, having just been completely refurbished and are shod in a set of Continental tyres all with good tread.
HISTORY
This R129 SL320 was first registered in March 2001 and has a full service history. The car comes with the original service book that is all stamped up, complete with various receipts and expenditure from over the years. All previous MOTs are present and this example has never failed nor been given a single advisory on any MOT! It is in near concours condition and really has to be seen in person to appreciate just how wonderful it is. This car has therefore been maintained properly and is ready to be enjoyed on our roads.
