EXTERIOR
The Azurite Blue Metallic exterior paint is in lovely condition throughout on this R129 SL320. The car has a factory fresh depth of shine and still retains a beautiful gloss to the lacquer. There is no rust, blemishes or scratches. Few stone chips are to be seen around the vehicle, which are to be expected with the mileage. All light lenses and trim retain a fresh appearance. The factory glass is present all around the vehicle with the Mercedes etchings on all of the windows and the side windows on the hard top. This vehicle also features the costly option when new of the panoramic roof, this gives added light into the interior and makes it feel a very airy and lovely place to be. The soft top is in great order, and the rear screens are still clear and not hazy.
INTERIOR
The Saffron Leather is in lovely original condition throughout, with minimal wear to be found. The carpet, trim, switches are in great condition. The dashboard and centre console are also in equally fine condition, with no cracks or sun damage to be found.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This R129 SL320 is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s finest 3. 2-litre V6 unit, mated to the five-speed automatic gearbox. This results in a silky-smooth drivetrain and this car is no exception. It performs perfectly and the car drives beautifully. Kick down works seamlessly when needed, with the automatic gearbox making light work of the operation. The engine bay is completely original and is in lovely order.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 17-inch alloy wheels are in as new condition, having just been completely refurbished and are shod in a set of tyres all with good tread.
HISTORY
This R129 SL320 was first registered in March 2000 and has a full service history. The car comes with the original service book that is all stamped up, complete with various receipts and expenditure from over the years. A large file is present, complete with all previous MOTs. This particular example has been featured in the Mercedes-Benz Club Gazette Magazine and a copy is present that goes with the car. This car has therefore been maintained properly and is ready to be enjoyed on our roads.
