This lovely original S124 estate is a finished in Arctic White with Navy Blue cloth interior. It is a desirable ‘crossover’ car with the early, more traditional looks, including the full chrome grill, but with the later more fuel efficient multi-valve electronically fuel injected engine.
Supplied new in December 1992 by Lancaster Garages of Ipswich. Its first owner, Mr Davey, did very few miles and by 2003 the car had only 9400 miles on the clock with Full Mercedes Service History by the supplying dealer comprising of 9 stamps. The second keeper was Clark & Carter Coach Works, who kept the car as their own vehicle and maintained it themselves. It comes with a detailed maintenance log from 2003 until 2015, listing every service and repair carried out on the car. This includes 16 oil changes amongst the many entries that also include a head gasket change.
24 years old and 25 oil changes.
The mileage is now 127k miles and will be serviced again prior to sale.
Thanks to careful owners and excellent maintenance this estate drives absolutely beautifully with no signs of age or wear. It really is a testament to these cars that, if correctly maintained, they can feel as fresh as new after 25 years.
No modifications, no previous restoration, just an incredibly clean, well-cared for 124 Estate. All books/ manuals and tools present. HPI clear with certificate.
The bodywork is excellent and, we think, all original paint. The interior is unmarked with none of the usual bolster wear or stained/ worn load area.
Good, unabused S124 estates are hard to come by. This is a particularly nice example.
