Ford Cortina 1200 Historic FIA G2 rally car, newly rebuilt engine.
New FIA passport just issued, Period F -1962 to 1965, FIA class CT7.
This car is in very good condition for a competition car, has race history from 1995 to 2003.
It is super straight and rust free, underneath is in great original condition.
Don’t let the fact that it is a 1200cc but you off, this is a class winning car.
Can easily be converted to 1500GT category if required.
It was purchased in 2010 by the previous owner and he spent a lot of time and money on the car as his plan was to compete in it, unfortunately due to health reasons he never got to use it. I have a receipt of 1850€ for the work carried out.
I purchased it in 2016 and had no intention of selling it as I wanted to convert it to track use and compete in the Historic Grand Race here in Finland, unfortunately I have a serious lack of time due to my busy business and a new addition to the family.. hence the sale.
Whoever buys this will be very happy with it, it is a fun car to drive and sound great.
It is high revving and really comes to life at high revs.

• Just been set-up on dyno, report showing 90Hp/ 97. 5Nm.
• Kent KC244 cam.
• Twin 40 Italian Webers.

• Fully seam welded body.
• New dials and rev counter, rev counter has been removed as it didn’t comply with FIA regulations.

Please bear in mind that this is an old car that has been in competition use for some years, although it is in great condition it is not new. I have tried to highlight any defects in the photos.
Seats and belts will need updating.
