We are pleased to present another exemplary 997 Turbo S cabriolet to our collection which offers an enviable options list in a quintessential colour scheme of GT Silver metallic combined with a black leather interior which is complimented with a black hood.
The additional £20, 000 cost of the Turbo S over the 997 Turbo when bought new, not only offered an additional 40BHP which helped improve the 0 – 60 mph time to a scintillating 3. 1 seconds and 0 – 100 mph to an impressive 7. 1 seconds but also increased the top speed to 196 miles per hour, which can be done in the right conditions knowing full well you have the immense stopping power of the Porsche Ceramic Composite brakes which are a standard option on this particular model.
The engine received a nominal 1. 0 bar of boost (against 0. 8bar on the standard version) along with lightly modified turbocharger vanes and a carbon fibre air manifold to endow the S with a continuous (not over-boosted) 516 lb/ ft of torque. That’s 37 lb/ ft more than the Turbo. The S also gained Porsche’s excellent seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, with paddle shift behind the steering wheel, and Sport Chrono Plus package for more spirited throttle, damper and stability control settings at the press of a button. Other developments included the latest 911 Turbo’s four-wheel drive hardware, or Porsche Torque Vectoring, which varied the drive to each individual rear wheel for more neutral cornering and spectacular traction. Despite its phenomenal performance, it is also an easy car to drive in all conditions.
Originally supplied by Porsche Centre Leeds in December 2012, this lovely example has enjoyed regular Porsche centre servicing. It will also be supplied with a comprehensive warranty and a new MOT certificate.
Available to view at our London showrooms.
