1966 Raleigh Runabout RM9 Presented in excellent restored condition . Undertaken in and around 2014 . A CD documents the restoration undertaken and is supplied with the RM9 . In March 2016 a full service was undertaken and a new clutch fitted due to a fault , Invoice supplied along with correspondence between restorer and former keeper . A National Auto cycle And Cycle motor Club dating certificate is also supplied , confirming the authenticity of this RM9 and its correct registration number being JKJ73D . The Raleigh Runabout was born out of the need of cheap and economical Post War transport . The first Model the RM1 was launched in 1958 at the "Savoy Hotel" , London , Later R model followed using the Norman 3K motor , Then a Saches and the RM4 and 5 being license-built Mobylette models . The range stopped at RM12 in 1969 . Being an RM9 it was launched in 1964 but was not available until July of that year .
