Description
LAMBRETTA LI SERIES 1, 1959.
The series 1 is now becoming a rare thing. Immediately identifiable by it’s fixed headlight, as opposed to handlebar mounted. This engine design set the pattern for all subsequent future models. The Li Series 1 was manufactured in 125cc and 150cc versions. Early machines were known as frame breathers, as the air filter drew air through the grille on the rear body work, which was eventually replaced by an air filter box, between the toolbox and petrol tank. The scooter looks much like the TV 1 but with no front fork dampers. Kickstart set well to the rear of the engine. This genuine 1959 Italian Lambretta 150LI. Is also fitted with separate seats.
This 150LI series 1 has arrived fresh from Italy, where its former owner has obviously spent a lot of time and effort on her. The Lambretta has had a full restoration, including the engine and ancillaries . Beautifully finished in the original colours of white with red panels, gives her that classic 50s look. The frame has also been stripped and repainted to compliment the overall appearance. Mechanically she is a pleasure to ride, starts first time, pulls through the gears smoothly, and effortlessly. The tyres are new, including the spare. The bright work is also good. She comes with the official Lambretta ‘birth certificate’, and is fully UK. registered, with period number plates. The spare wheel comes with the scooter, and just needs its mounting bracket.
This beautiful Italian classic is ready to go, and be enjoyed, and has been fully serviced by a specialist scooter company - ‘Vintage motor scooters’.
Uk. delivery can be arranged, and part exchange is considered.
