Tyres, cables and all consumables have been recently replaced. The paint has had a going over since 1968, but is mostly original, though by no means pristine. It has the usual wear, but no big patches of rust or rot and would be pretty easy to get to show standard. Pretty good for its 50 years!
Engine was built by the previous owner to an incredibly high standard, and is solidly reliable. When it was built all bearings and seals were replaced with high quality german replacements, and since the build it has had about 1000 miles on it, so its fully run in. I havn't had it on a dyno, but the jetting is pretty spot on, and power output would be around 20 BHP, with a lot of torque so it accelerates really well. As mentioned suspension and brakes have been upgraded so it handles brilliantly too, especially with the widened rear wheel. Cruises at around 65 with more for overtaking. It could be tuned further but at the moment it's well set up with a good combination of reliability, speed and fuel economy, so would make a brilliant daily rider or tourer. It's a lot of fun to hoon about on, surprises sports bikes and performance cars, but can happily just potter down the shop as well.
V5 present, registered on an age related plate (as a 150cc), and I also have the original italian documentation, as well as the original speedo. No road tax as it's a historic vehicle, and it's MOT'ed until July 2018, no advisories.
I think thats it, but if there are any questions ask away. The bike is located in South London, I would really recommend coming to have a look if you're serious- the bike is garaged nearby so I will need some advance warning. No test rides unless you are insured and I have a deposit in my hand! Price is firm, the engine would be 2k+ alone to build and it really wants nothing.
Payment is by cheque or bank transfer within 7 days, paypal also fine, though you will have to cover the fees. I'm also happy to help arrange collection or transportation with a bike shipper, I know a couple of good ones, just let me know in advance. Bidders from overseas or less that 100% feedback please contact me in advance.
Hopefully the pictures give a good idea of the bike but of course if there's anything else you need to know just ask.
