This stunning Java Green Triumph Spitfire was first registered on the 8th April 1975 and from MOT certificates we can see by 1988 it has covered 81540 miles. The Spitfire was then taken off the road and between 1994 and 2005 was subject of a complete full restoration.
The rebuild included removal of panels, engine, gearbox, interior and all exterior trims. The Spitfire was then fully repainted inside and out and built back up with a rebuilt suspension to include new wishbone bushes, track rod ends, trunions, springs. Brakes and steering were overhauled, the engine whilst removed beautifully detailed, carbs rebuilt, new propshaft UJ's and new stainless steel exhaust system. The interior was completely re-trimmed and a new hood fitted, bright work replaced and all new seals fitted.
Since completion we believe the Spitfire has covered in the region of 5000 miles and it is in excellent condition. The body and paintwork are excellent, the engine bay superbly presented, the interior trim lovely throughout and on the road the car is first class to drive with an excellent engine and gearbox. The Triumph will be supplied with a full 12 months MOT, serviced and fully function checked.
