Only produced for 2 years from 1976 to 1977, the 3. 0 Carrera takes its place amongst the rarer models of the regular production 911s.
This particular Carrera is the definition of raw driving pleasure. Having been sparingly raced at casual classic car track days, it features a RUF styled bodykit for improved aerodynamics, bucket seats, a roll cage and has been stripped of its air-conditioning along with the addition of lightweight door cards for reduced weight.
Upon ignition, it's instantly apparent that this is no regular 911. Fitted with a custom exhaust, it grunts and crackles its way to peak operating temperature. Featuring tight handling and a surprising amount of power, this 3. 0 Carrera gobbles up corners with a ridiculous ease, given its age.
The powerplant in this 911 is derived from the 3-liter of 930 Turbo renown. Delivering a smooth 200hp out of the factory, the addition of the custom exhaust surely gives this particular unit an edge. The engine came mated with a 5-speed gearbox, not the more common 4-speed found in most 911s of this era, a fact that lends to its surprising performance.
As one of the harder to find models in the 911 lineup, the 3. 0 Carrera is both a drivers dream and a collectors gem. A 911 such as this one is only on the upward trend, soon to be unattainable.

The car is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It's a nice tropical climate and thus not prone to rust. Willing to ship to the UK or anywhere (can give a quote). We do buy cars from the UK from time to time so we can work out a good rate.
