This is a true Californian car having spent its entire life in the Los Angeles area in the hands of two owners. Its first owners were Earl and Jean Grow who lived at 5874 Abernathy Drive Los Angeles they purchased the car in 1967 and it remained with them for forty years until they sold it to the second owner in 2007. Mr Geever then used it for several years until he decided to restore it fully as he promised the Grow family. We were lucky enough to visit him at his home in Playa Del Ray which is a beach side community on the westside of Los Angeles and we purchased it immediately we saw the quality of this car. It made the drive from Arizona to California a worthwhile visit.
Its recent restoration carried out by the second owner has been carried out to a high standard. Including a rebuilt replacement 302 V8 with upgraded Headers, Exhaust and Carburetor. New Suspension throughout, Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering give this Mustang superb handling and stopping power. The Transmission and Final Drive were also rebuilt at the time. As with all our cars, the underneath is completely rust free and any inspection is welcomed. One of our five ramps will be made available if needed.
The interior has been retrimmed in its original two-tone blue to compliment the beautiful Brittany Blue body which received a full bare metal re-finish in high-quality PPG two pack paint. The headlining and sun visors are new as is the rear shelf which has new period speakers built in, so that the Kenwood stereo cd system gives a quality sound. It has its original radio still fitted but the Kenwood head unit is discreetly positioned with a remote control. The carpets are new as is most of the chrome work, rubbers and surrounds. Within the interior, there is “when new” the optional centre console. A period wood rim steering wheel is also present adding to the retro charm of the interior trim.
New American Racing Torq thrust Gray polished wheels with a new full set of White Bill Board BF Goodridge tyres have also just been fitted. The exhaust is recent and the stainless-steel exhaust tips are new, giving this Mustang the V8 Burble we all love to hear.
The original Handbook and even rarer owner card are with the car as is the “safety guide for good drivers and a Motor record book showing some entries from 1967 until 1976.
This Mustang is a car to be very proud of and would certainly do well at any car shows you may wish to present her at. This car is present at our Factory and is undergoing the registration process, so it is sold with British V5 (log book). Fully Mot”ed , serviced etc.
