MG TC – Show Winning Standard
The MG TC was the first post war car produced by MG and was every inch the traditional British sports car. It was an immediate success with good performance curtesy of the XPAG engine and entertaining handling. Nearly all the production run of 10, 000 cars were exported to the Empire or USA and excellent examples with provenance have risen sharply in value over recent years
Milestone Classics are delighted to offer for sale one of the best TC’s you could wish to find. Originally purchased by a previous owner while working in Zambia during 1974 the car was a personal import to the UK in 1976. Mr Hesling owned the MG for over 30 years and invested time, effort and a huge amount of money in restoring the car to show winning standard. There are two lever arch files containing original registration documents from Zambia, pictures taken over a number of years, hundreds of bills (I estimate four to five hundred) and a number of letters complaining to suppliers - Mr Hesling was clearly a perfectionist.
Purchased by a local enthusiast in 2007 Milestones sold this car in 2016 to the current owner. Bob is also a perfectionist (that is why he bought the car) and he has continued to lavish time and money on her. During his ownership the TC has been used for continental touring - this car goes every bit as good as she looks - and is only being sold to make way for another Milestones car
