Mercedes 190 SL - original RHD - concours standard.
Simply amazing! We are blessed to have been chosen to sell this fine car on behalf a friend. This formed part of his car collection and is now presented in as new condition. This is an original RHD example, having been restored to a very good level in 1985, but the nut and bolt restoration was completed 2016. The majority of the parts were sourced from German specialists, SLS. There are 100s of photos in the file, of the restoration. The interior, which is all new was treated not to off the shelf made trim, but 3000 pounds worth of original colour hide, then sent to a specialist trimmer. All the chrome was sent away to be triple plated. Complete engine and cylinder head rebuild, complete gearbox rebuild, complete back axle rebuild, new wiring loom, new hood, restored hard top in oxblood colour, with new headlining. The whole fuel system from the tank to the carbs has been replaced or restored. New radiator and heater radiator, new brakes front to back, including rebuilt servo. The original colour code silver metallic is faultless. Needless to say everything works. The car is detailed underneath, and again is as new, with a new stainless exhaust. The original looking Becker radio is in fact a reproduction copy of the original, with mobile phone connection, memory card slot, and satellite navigation. This is new at a cost of 2500 pounds. The car has all new sound proofing, and so on... This very rare in RHD format, is a stunning example. We think, could possibly be the best available on the market today. If you are looking for a RHD SL Mercedes, in this iconic shape, that is as close to new condition as you would want, then here it is!
