1958 Bentley S1 Standard Steel Saloon With Power Steering Chassis number BF282FA Finished in its original colour scheme of Sable over Sand . Supplied new by Orford & Sons LTD of London and registerd to the merchant bank Singer & Friedlander registerd as OMA 111 . Today this S1 saloon presents very well showing no signs of major issues . It has a lovely patina through out which would be a shame to remove . The vaneers are just right and the leather has that comfortable appearance . Recently treated to hand made sheep skin over rugs to front and rear floors . As you walk round the S1 you note the odd minor chip etc but the places of normal alarm are in great condition (see photographs) . As you sit in the S1 toady you note the odameter reads 25, 114 which could be correct but not confirmed . Turn the key and the straight six 4. 9 litre engine starts straight away with out smoking or rattling . The oil pressure also rises quickly . I have now covered over 80 miles in the S1 and it performs very well , Stopping in a straight line and steering well . The temperature gauge reads normal even when in a traffic queue . Extremely pleasant to drive . Supplied with V5C , MOT which expires in September 2018 , Correspondence with the first keepers grandson , Factory build records and associated paper work .
