This superb driving Ford 289 V8 Mustang Fastback has been with its most recent owner since the beginning of 2017 and has had over £8, 000 spent over the year. Work includes re-trimming door cards and seats, fitting a Master Power front brake disc conversion kit, new correct steering wheel, Halogen headlamp conversion, new fuel tank sender seal, radio with iPod, a new set of BF Goodrich tyres and work to the carburettor and throttle and gearbox control linkage. The Ford has had all work carried out with local specialists in the Malton area and it’s been driven over to us absolutely on the button, and ready to use and enjoy.
The Mustang appears very honest and original and is still in its original colour of Ivy Green. From de-coding the numbers on the car, we know this was the original factory colour, as was the trim which is finished in Ivy Gold. The Mustang was built at Dearborn and is a genuine Fastback 289 with C4 automatic gearbox and 2. 80:1 axle ratio. In January 2015 this Ford was registered in the United Kingdom and has covered around 1200 miles.
HVK 314C presents very well with a lovely paint finish. The Mustang has an excellent straight bodyshell, structurally superb underside and the paintwork has nicely aged and gives the car a very honest, genuine look. Chrome work is of a very good standard and the interior is excellent having had over £2, 000 spent on trim work this year. On the road performance is outstanding and the car is in strong mechanical order. Whilst it will be sold with a full 12 months MOT, confidence can be taken from the recent owner spending £8000 on the car this year, really having someone go through the car meticulously and ensuring its right in every way.
