MG Midget MkIII RWA – Six Owners/ Matching Nos
Welcome to the sale of our 1974 MG Midget Mark III (round wheel arch) that has had just six keepers from new and was restored some years ago to original specification.
The previous owner cherished this Midget for 36 years. It was his every day transport initially and in the late 1980’s he took her off the road and completed a two year restoration. Work included new sills, front wings & valance, rear arches, boot lid etc. and a full bare metal respray. Just about all exterior and interior trim was replaced at the same time including seat covers, carpet set, hood etc. etc.
All this work and expenditure has matured delightfully over the last 30 years with the car being used mainly for shows and holidays across Ireland and Europe. Today the car is just how we like our cars - sharp with a lovely patina that newer restorations simply cannot replicate. The history file contains MOT’s since 1981, invoices back to 1988 and a summary of all previous owners.
Mechanically this MG starts first time, has excellent oil pressure and is a delight to drive with typical Midget road manners and addictive exhaust note that just make you drive, enjoy, smile...
