The Appeal

The early 425cc Citroën 2CV AZ represents the model at its most charmingly simple and mechanically pure, before successive updates diluted the ingenious minimalism that made the 2CV such an icon. This 1961 example, finished in grey with a red and grey vinyl interior, has been treated to significant cosmetic renewal during its current ownership, with both the paintwork and upholstery professionally redone, we are told.

Purchased by the current owner in February 2018, the car has since benefited from various documented maintenance items detailed below. It has seen very little use over the past two years, serving primarily as a display and exhibition piece. With matching serial numbers noted and French collection registration, this 2CV AZ presents a fine opportunity to acquire a well-presented example of one of motoring's most endearing creations.
