The vendor informs us that this gold R107 roof was originally fitted to a 1974 350SL, although it will fit any R107 Mercedes-Benz.

Details
Finished in gold, this hard top has survived very well overall, while many examples have either been lost, succumbed to corrosion or been damaged in storage.
There are some marks to the paintwork, although this doesn’t concern us, as the next owner shall likely want to repaint it to match their R107.
More importantly, this hard top appears to be structurally sound, most notably along the lower edge where many of these original hardtops suffer from corrosion.
While there is some rust in places, we think this roof would clean up well. It does not seem to be dented and unusually, the vinyl headlining is quite serviceable, with only minor marks and nicks in places.
The wiring for the heated rear window also remains in place and the glass itself is intact.
The brightwork also appears to be in good order and the location pins are still present.
