The Silver Shadow II built upon the success of the original Silver Shadow by significant changes to the suspension and steering that resulted in much improved handling. The combination of classic Rolls Royce design with very good brightwork and a Primrose Yellow finish make for a simply gorgeous car that puts today's luxury cars to shame.
Something akin to a barn find this Silver Shadow has been unused in storage for over ten years. In need of recomisoning the current owner has started the car and has driven it up and down the local lane. Whilst not perfect, the big Rolls still makes a fantastic impression and is an undeniably good looking car that has evidently been well cared for prior to going into storage.
Seats present very well with little signs of wear for the age and mileage

Everything about this Silver Shadow oozes quality and unparalleled luxury and the interior is no different. As soon as you open the door and step into the spacious cabin it’s easy to see why the Rolls Royce name is synonymous with the highest levels of luxury; the extensive dashboard is wood with leather covering almost every other surface and plush carpeting throughout.
The big leather seats show very few signs of wear for the age and mileage with the leather presenting very well on all of the seats throughout the car. Whilst the lacquer is showing signs of its age on all of the woodwork in the interior, the underlying wood appears to be in sound condition. The chrome on the other hand presents excellently throughout and further adds to the impression of luxury this car creates. The full leather headlining also presents very well and the overall condition of the interior is very good for the age.

Some areas would benefit from attention
Few cars have the sheer presence of the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, from the big chrome grille through the Spirit of Ecstasy figurehead to the long lines of the sides or the big V8 it’s an impressive car. This Silver Shadow is finished in Primrose Yellow and looks simply fantastic from every angle.
The paintwork has a deep lustre and is, for the most part, in very good condition. There is some bubbling around the wheel arches as well as areas of delamination where some pieces of trim are mounted (as shown in the images). All of the brightwork including the big grille and the Spirit of Ecstasy presents very well and is in very good condition for its age. All four wheels are in good condition and the overall presentation of the car is very good, whilst it certainly has some cosmetic issues that would benefit from being addressed it is still a very good looking car with a big presence.
Underside appears to be in good condition for the age and mileage
The car has been kept unused indoors since around 2009 and was acquired by the current owner when he purchased the workshop in which it was. Initially it wouldn’t start but he stripped and rebuilt the fuel pump and the car now starts and runs quite well. The big V8 runs smoothly with no unwanted noises that we could hear, although with the extensive sound-proofing it is a surprisingly quiet car. He has driven it a very short distance to test it and notes a few minor electrical items not working and recommends an overall recommission before returning to the road. The Silver Shadow II was once one of the most luxurious cars in the world and a house could have been bought for less than this car. With its classic Rolls Royce style and commanding presence it is a design that has stood the test of time, still looking as good today as when they were first designed. Having been kept in storage for the last ten years this is an ideal light project for someone looking for one of these fantastic cars.
