The Appeal
If ever a car was built to run and run it was Mercedes virtually unburstable W123. The 200 was the workhorse of the range and arguably the one you want if your plans are in the daily driver area because, outside of the clattery diesels, its very economical.
Particularly, as here, when fitted with the rare manual gearbox. Looking smart in white, this 1979 200 has been subtly modified with a front chin spoiler and lowering kit. That aside, it is largely standard including a well preserved blue fabric interior.
This is the sort of car you can enjoy during the week and show at the weekend. There are a few points to note in the photos but the vendor reports that it has been reliable since he bought it. It also benefits form new carburettor and brake hoses and is usefully tax and MOT exempt.
