The 40-series Toyota Land Cruiser is, quite simply, one of the most revered off-road vehicles ever produced, and the FJ-45 four-door 'Troopy' is among the rarest and most desirable variants. With its elongated wheelbase and troop-carrier proportions, the Troopy cuts a commanding silhouette that few vehicles can match, and it has become increasingly sought after.

This 1985 example has been treated to a comprehensive frame-off restoration, transforming it into a thoroughly modern restomod whilst retaining the classic Land Cruiser aesthetic. The very best restomods don't stray too far from the character of the original vehicle. This Toyota remains true to its roots, especially in the looks department, while boasting a few subtle nods to the work that's gone on under the skin. The interior is particularly well-executed, with modern instrumentation retro-fitted into the period binnacles and uprated seats throughout.
