The Appeal

The Capri 280, universally known as the 'Brooklands', was the final limited-edition model to bear the Capri name, marking the end of a production run that spanned nearly two decades. Finished exclusively in Brooklands Green metallic with red and white pinstripes, and equipped with a 2.8-litre Cologne V6, limited-slip differential, and full leather Recaro interior, it remains one of the most sought-after variants of Ford's iconic sporting coupé.

This example, number 86 of the 1,038-car production run, shows just 24,913 miles on the odometer. It spent many years in a well-known private collection in Ireland before being returned to the UK in 2014 and recommissioned for road use. Previously owned by the chairman of Perrys, it has had just three former registered keepers and has been in the current ownership since June 2023.

The engine bay has been cosmetically refurbished, the brakes have been upgraded, and the car has been maintained with various mechanical works as outlined below. It passed its most recent MOT in May 2026 with no advisories at the first attempt.
