The History and Paperwork

Very comprehensive collection of MOT certificates, service receipts and stamps to support the warranted mileage of 47,865 miles
Full collection of original service manuals, handbooks and pamphlets all retained in the original manufacturers wallet
Previously part of the VW-Audi heritage collection and originally owned as a display model by Audi themselves
Very recent cam belt, water pump and full set of Good Year tyres to keep the car in a roadworthy, usable condition

The Interior

Totally original and virtually factory fresh condition throughout
The electronics including mirrors, all four windows and central locking in working order
Audi floor mats are in great condition and have benefited from being covered by rubber overmats which are also fitted
Of course, because of the low mileage the usual areas that tend to see a lot of wear are in very good order with just a light shine to the steering wheel, gear shifter, door handles and switches but ultimately everything is in keeping with the mileage of the car
The seats have virtually no marks or wear and still retain excellent shape and colour all round. The headlining has some slight sagging and is about the only item that may need any attention to the interior
There is a Blaupunkt stereo fitted, likely there from factory but would benefit from refitting to complement the otherwise immaculate interior
All the windows have etched registration numbers and all of these match the car’s registration plate

The Exterior

Stunning paintwork and well kept plastics all round with no fading as such to the black plastics
All the light lenses appear undamaged and with no evidence of moisture ingress
The standard wheel trims are still fitted and have little evidence of paint damage or any discoloration, virtually perfect
From the top all the way down to the sills there is no evidence of corrosion we saw, even down to the lower valances that are subject to the most weather and are often damaged in other instances
The whole length of the car is fantastically straight and have matching paintwork with virtually no blemishes or dents to see, just one tiny scratch above the nearside tailight that we noticed and a couple of extremely minor marks in other areas
Although the exterior is not perfect, absolutely everything retains a lovely original finish, some very light patina on some small areas such as the chromed badges and nothing has been overly treated and shined up. The car is evidence of excellent care and is in truly unbelievable condition and shows how these cars were built to last

The Mechanics

5 cylinder engine renowned for its subtle off-beat sound is connected to an automatic transmission for great cruising capability
Full new set of quality Good Year tyres and recent battery
Cam belt and waterpump fitted within the last 1000 miles
All the original toolkit and spare wheel still reside nicely in place, the spare looking potentially unused
The engine bay is beautifully clean with no evidence of leaks, all the painted areas still in perfect order, lovely black plastics with no evident damage and all the hoses and pipes still retained by original clips
Evidently by the paperwork, the cylinder head has been removed, skimmed and new gasket set fitted at the time of the timing belt replacement
Under the vehicle the evidence of care is clear with just slight surface corrosion to untreated components and the chassis showing no evidence of corrosion that we could see under inspection. A large portion of the car still retained the factory applied, waxy coating that yellows with age and is still doing its job.
The car has been described as driving extremely well and we are certain this is true given the condition and mechanical attention the car has received

Rarely do cars like this come on to the market and usually reside in collections or garages only visiting the occasional show or event. This, then, is your opportunity to own one of the best examples of the marque in the UK.
