The 1970s was a time of change, especially in the automotive industry where new modern technology, advanced safety features and buyers' demands were influencing the car market greatly. The swinging 60s were a thing of the past and automakers looked for the next breakthrough and no one had a bigger job to do than Jaguar.
The E-Type will arguably go down in history as one of the greatest cars ever produced and so when production came to an end in 1974, Jaguar had some very big shoes to fill. Instead of going down the traditional two-seater sports car, Jaguar saw an opportunity to compete with the big European manufacturers and their luxurious, powerful grand tourers and thus, the XJ-S was born.
Presented excellently this 1993 Convertible XJS has been comprehensively cared for from day one. Accompanied by a large folder of invoices as well as its original book pack, including a well-stamped service portfolio, this stunning grand-tourer is a wonderful example of the marque.

Presented in excellent condition, the interior of this XJS is a luxurious and comfortable environment, suitable for any type of journey. The electric adjusting front seats are in fine order with only the smallest indications of use present, as are the carpets which have been protected by over mats. The dash is clean and undamaged and all instruments and switches have been reported to be fully operational. The balance of elite 90s luxury and sporty performance has been completed exceptionally well and has been maintained and cared for superbly.

Initially controversial, the appearance of the XJS has become one of its greatest draws. Ageing respectfully, the sweeping body is now regarded by many as one of the best-designed cars of the era. Its elegant and majestic yet powerful and poised and without question looks its best in convertible form. This example is presented in excellent condition with only the smallest paint blemishes visible to the front bumper. It has benefited from a new convertible roof in 2019 which still looks brand new.
