There are few automotive sights more reassuring than a Toyota Land Cruiser. This legendary unburstable 4x4 made its name conquering some of the world’s most inhospitable regions, so British potholes pose little challenge.
This 1994 Land Cruiser Amazon VX V8 blends those indestructible Toyota mechanicals with external running boards and fully refurbished silver alloy wheels. It has also been underbody rust-protected, to shrug off any salt or grit assaults. Yet inside, there are leather seats and plush carpeting, burl wooden trim and a Pioneer head unit. There are inevitable age-related marks and scuffs across the interior, particularly around some minor switchgear and grab handles, though a combination of unripped leather and carpet overmats mean the most important parts remain presentable.
The same is true externally, where lacquer peel, two small rust bubbles and the occasional dent or scrape reflect this car’s age and working life. Everything remains entirely original apart from three aftermarket upgrades – rear parking sensors, high-intensity headlights and a professionally fitted LPG Autogas system which has been discreetly stowed in the vast boot.
Mechanically, there should be little to fear. The mileage of 135,000 means the V8 engine is nicely run in, with a fully stamped service book stretching up to 72,000 miles and all other repairs and servicing documented separately. The second car of a skilled engineer and classic Toyota enthusiast.
With all the expected mechanical elements (diff lock, low-ratio gearbox) reportedly working normally, this Land Cruiser is ready to provide many more years of robust and dependable service. image.png1.18 MB
