The Appeal

The Mk4 is one of the most accessible ways into Mustang ownership, and a later car like this V8 makes huge sense. Equipped with Ford’s durable 4.6L Modular V8, these cars are more reliable than earlier models and simpler and easier to maintain than later ones, particularly post-1996 examples like this one, which feature OBD-II diagnostics for easier fault finding.

It is an extremely well-kept collector-quality example that has covered just 28,400 miles in the hands of two keepers, the first up to 2025. The Laser Red paintwork looks virtually new, while inside, the black leather interior seems far younger than its 25 years. As a later 4.6L V8, this car features the more powerful output and is mated to a desirable 5-speed manual box.

Despite the very sparing use, the history file shows a run of regular servicing irrespective of mileage. The last service was in May 2025, when the car also received new brake callipers. The vendor tells us that the coolant was recently flushed. The current MOT runs to April 2027 with no advisories.

Virtually factory standard, highly preserved and with very sparing use, this is one of the best modern Mustangs we’ve seen in a loing while.
