The Appeal
The V-Rod was Harley-Davidson’s entry into the competitive ‘muscle bike’ category. And what an entry. The firm’s first liquid-cooled bike was developed with help from Porsche engineers and it looked, well, fabulous. It went well too, its 1.1L engine good for over 115bhp.
Nearly 25 years on from its introduction, the V-Rod is highly collectable. The arrival of this 2003 bike, then, is well timed because it gives buyers a perhaps unique opportunity to acquire what is essentially a brand-new VRSCA V-Rod. It has been unregistered and in storage since acquisition and has covered just 46 miles. The vendor tells us that it has never been used on the road.
The recommissioning after storage began earlier this year. We are told it received a full Harley Davidson service and check over, including tyres, fluids, battery and a full test procedure. It also comes with a useful MOT that is valid to January 2026 with no advisories.
Beautifully presented in mid blue, the vendor reports that it is virtually spotless. This is a collector-quality bike the like of which isn’t likely to come along again any time soon.
