The Appeal
We can only pity the BMW team tasked with developing the E60 M5. Every previous iteration of this icon super saloon had been nigh on perfect. The bar was set if not high, then virtually unattainable.
And yet they delivered. The V10-powered, 500bhp, rear wheel drive monster they created is arguably the ultimate version of the ultimate driving machine. Viscerally quick – at the launch journalists had to be schooled not to lift off in fear – and possessed of brilliant handling, the E60 remains highly revered by enthusiasts.
Because these cars are so entertaining to drive, the trick is to find one with low mileage. Of course you will also want cloth of gold servicing because that engine thrives on attention. This car ticks both those boxes. It is also in a popular black over Silverstone interior colour scheme and factory fitted with a raft of choice options. this one, the vendor advises, has been part of an M5 collection.
Add in a recent service and long MOT and you surely have a mouthwatering treat for any buyer.
