With its longitudinally positioned, 2.3-litre inline-3 engine producing 140 horsepower, even in standard form, the Triumph Rocket 3 is nothing short of a powerhouse.
This one however, has been further enhanced with the fitment of a turbocharger by TTS performance.
Needless to say, this motorcycle boasts some serious performance, but it also delivers as a comfortable cruiser with its upright riding position, wide tyres and low seat.
It goes without saying that this bike has quite a presence.
The sheer scale of the engine and stunning paintwork culminate in a bike that you can’t help but stop and stare at.
The metallic paintwork has clearly been subject to some customisation in the past and is displaying motifs on the fuel tank and mudguards. Flanking the seat, there is also a St Andrew’s Flag / skull and crossbones emblem, which has clearly been created by an accomplished artist.
There are also a couple of aftermarket features including clear indicator lenses and a passenger backrest for rear passengers.
Finished in matching blue, the wheels look to be in excellent shape and the tyres have a good deal of tread remaining. The Rocket 3 wowed critics at the time with the audacious use of a 240mm rear tyre.
3-into-2 aftermarket exhaust fitted by Stuart Young Tuning
2.3-litre, longitudinal inline 3
Turbocharged
Mechanically, this bike features two notable upgrades from standard.
Firstly, the aforementioned turbo has been professionally tuned by TTS Performance and provides a significant performance increase.
Secondly, Triumph’s factory exhaust system has been swapped out for an aftermarket 3-into-2 system, fitted by Stuart Young Tuning.
The vendor informs us that this bike performs most impressively, being both smooth and fast on the road. A recent fork service performed by a local garage has ensured that this bike’s good firm handling will remain firm for years to come.
From the factory these were impressive bikes, but this example has been made even more striking both mechanically and visually.
The standard of work is clearly very impressive, and with its low mileage this bike remains in fine order, ready to thrill both rider and onlookers wherever it goes.
