The Appeal
The launch of the Continental GT in 2003 marked a pivotal moment in Bentley’s history. Developed following the marque’s acquisition by Volkswagen AG, it successfully combined Bentley’s traditional strengths of craftsmanship, luxury and effortless performance with the engineering resources of one of the world’s largest automotive groups. The result was a car that broadened the appeal of the brand while remaining unmistakably Bentley in character.
The Continental GTC followed naturally, pairing the coupé’s formidable performance with the appeal of open-top motoring. Beneath its elegant lines sat Bentley’s twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine, while a fully electric fabric roof allowed the car to transform from refined grand tourer to open-air cruiser at the touch of a button.
Performance was every bit as impressive as the car’s luxury credentials. Producing 552bhp, the W12-powered GTC could accelerate from 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 194mph – figures that placed it firmly among the fastest and most capable grand tourers of its era.
Our example is finished in a tasteful colour combination, boasts a comprehensive range of factory options, and has been serviced within the last 1,000 miles. Equally at home on relaxed weekend drives or extended continental tours, it offers a compelling blend of effortless pace, exceptional comfort and open-air motoring.
