The Appeal

With its substantial 5.6-litre V8 engine, the 560 SL was designed with the US market very much in mind. It provides plenty of power to make this Mercedes-Benz a capable cruiser, able to chew up the miles with ease.

This particular 560 SL is in beautiful condition inside and out. Its Astral Silver paintwork is extremely well presented, with hardly a mark on it, and the Royal Blue leather interior is also in great order.

Clearly intended for the top end of the market, this Mercedes features such high-end luxuries as cruise control and automatic climate control, reserved for only the very best cars in the 1980s. This is a clearly a great example of the model, a capable, practical and well-preserved classic.
