Volkswagen unveiled the superb MK1V Golf Cabriolet in August 1998 with three different engines initially available but the range was soon rationalised to just one Engine, the 115bhp 2. 0-litre unit and trim levels ran from S through SE, Avantgarde and Colour Concept.
This lovely Avantgarde 2. 0 Cabriolet was supplied new by VW dealer Scotts of Westminster and first registered on 4th April 2001.
It is finished in Black with Grey Cloth trim, new Black Soft Top and headlining with Glass Heated rear window (Electric), Wind Deflector, Electric Windows, Air Conditioning, Tow Bar, Electric Mirrors, Driver & Passenger Air Bags, ABS Brakes, Power Steering, Stereo Radio/ CD Player, 2. 0 Litre Fi Engine, 5 Speed Manual Gearbox and sitting on a set of genuine Ronal 'Teddy Bear' 14" Alloy wheels.
The car has only had One previous owners from new and the current owner purchased the car from VW dealer Dovercourt in Battersea when it was only 2 years old in June 2003 for £14, 500. It is in very good condition overall, with only a few small marks on the paintwork which is to be expected for a car of this age, but not rust anywhere and it really does drive beautifully.
It has only covered a genuine 87, 700 miles from new with a Full & Comprehensive Service History and comes with all service records and invoices, MOT certificates, original VW Handbook pack including fully stamped Maintenance Booklet and it is MOT'd until June 2020.
