1988 Ranger Rover V8 Manual LHD
A factory manual V8 example, this Range Rover boasts some special touches. Previously owned by something of a connoisseur, the car was used for jaunts around Saint Moritz where the car was kept.
Of course, a man of such taste was never likely to be satisfied with standard offerings, and as such the car received some very subtle tweaks. The seats were sent to Florence to be expertly re-trimmed in thick leather using classic techniques, the understated shade of black chosen to compliment the exterior and appear factory.
The original 3. 5 was deemed a touch too pedestrian, with a replacement 3. 9 litre unit fitted to make the roads of Saint Moritz a touch more enjoyable and the car even more usable.
Having lived a sheltered life in Saint Moritz, the car was then sold to a friend and car collector who used the car occasionally around his homeland of Italy and his country house in rural England.
With its left hand drive configuration and manual gearbox paired to chunky V8, this is a really fun and usable Range Rover for all occasions and an ideal road trip vehicle – to Saint Moritz again, perhaps.
