1973 Karman Ghia Convertible 1600. Triple Black in outstanding condition. It’s a matching numbers California (dry state) car that was imported to the U. K. in 2003 following a complete body restoration, The car has had just one lady owner since arriving in the U. K. And has genuinely never seen a rainy or winters day since it’s been in the country. It’s covered just 60, 000 miles from new, only 6000 since being in the U. K. with every mot to prove. The bodywork is absolutely immaculate, the paintwork is of show quality and the panel gaps are perfect, there is absolutely no rust whatsoever. The photos are a true example of how nice the car is in the flesh. The chrome is superb with no pitting whatsoever. The chrome wheels are in perfect condition with matching firestone tyres all round. The seats, door cards and carpets are in superb original condition with no untoward wear, there is very slight wear to the dash but far far better than most I’ve seen and very impressive for its original californian dash. The hood, the headlining and glass rear window are in perfect condition with a perfect matching tonneau cover. The only thing on the car not to factory specification is the Mountney wooden steering wheel. The original 1600 engine is very heathy and extremely lively, it pulls welll through all the gears and keeps up with modern traffic effortlessly. The drive is tight and precise with no play in the steering or suspension and the brakes are very effective. Although exempt from both tax and mot, it’s currently mot’d until November 2020 with no advisories however we will apply a fresh MOT upon sale.
