DESCRIPTION:
Where to start with the AMG 55? It’s looks are understated, a thing that simply can’t be said of the more modern AMG cars, which belies the enormous power produced and so efficiently delivered to the road through the seamless 7 speed flappy-paddle gearbox.
This car makes the corners appear rather swiftly. From a refined motorway cruiser with the top up, to a raucous bruiser on the B roads with the exhaust valves open and the top down, the throb of the V8 evident with each stab of throttle, it has a nature to suit every occasion.
This particular black on black example comes with every potential creature comfort you could ask for, with Sat-Nav, heated electric seats, warm air scarf and an incredibly fast to operate panoramic glass sunroof hardtop, keeping things refined for the motorway miles. On top of that it has the “advanced parking guidance, ambient lighting, analogue clock, rain sensing wipers, stunning Harmon Kardon Logic 7 sound system upgrade, Nappa leather throughout, polished aluminium roll over hoops and self-dipping mirrors to finish the optional extras. You’re never likely to feel the need for more car!
The suspension and damping control are simply sublime and the car is as comfortable as any big GT car, but with its short wheelbase is nimble enough to get through the turns a lot more swiftly than its bigger brother the SL.
With recently refurbished alloy wheels and new tyres, the car presents perfectly. As good an example as you’ll find of this iconic sports car.
The car has full-service history in its original Mercedes wallet, to show that the car isn’t only in fine fettle on the outside, it is on the inside too, which shows in the flawless drive.
The car has also been machine polished for a lasting shine to layer the wax onto! So, come and be the person to fall in love with it and add those layers! As good a daily driver as a weekend toy, the best of both worlds? Undoubtedly. Stunning value for what has to be the best example available.
