Certainly one of the finest W124 saloons we have ever had the pleasure of owning. This incredible 300E 4matic has covered just 44k mikes with just two owners.
Supplied new by The Sunningdale Carriage Company in August 1991 and finished in Pearl Blue metallic with grey leather interior. In addition it is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, 15-hole alloys and a car phone – de rigueur for the early 90s.
In 1995 the car was sold again by Sunningdale to a Mr Allbut, an aircraft engineer and something of a Mercedes fan, who already owned another W124 he’d purchased new from Sunningdale. The 4matic was used sparingly and kept in the heated garage attached to his house (alongside the other daily used W124) until 2005 when he retired. Despite no longer needing either W124 he could not bear to part with either so both were declared off road and tucked away in the garage until we acquired them this year. Being a fastidious sort of chap, this car was not simply left, it was always kept immaculately clean, battery charged and ready to run. It even received brand new Dunlop tyres even though it never saw the road.
As a result, the condition of this W124 is truly incredible. It is a true timewarp. The paintwork is original and immaculate; the interior is akin to new with zero UV damage or fade. Under the bonnet, all the yellow zinc plated parts remain bright. It is ultra-original with no restoration work carried out.
We have replaced all fluids and filters, including front and rear differentials, transfer box and gearbox. In addition, we have rebuilt the fuel system as a precaution.

Quite possibly the finest example of a 300E 4matic; a perfectly preserved, totally original car that is of collector standard.
