A beautifully presented 1972 GT Beetle in excellent condition throughout with just 4 past owners. This Genuine GT Beetle has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration including a full respray in its original & rare colour of Apple Green as well as a complete interior re trim.
The GT Beetles were made to celebrate 300, 000 beetles being sold in Britain. They were made in a VW factory in Belgium, in Nov 1972. This particular car still has the BE mark on the glass to confirm this. Only 2500 were made in three different colours, Lemon Yellow, Apple Green and Tomato Red. Of the 2500 made only 250 were finished in Apple Green. This car was restored during 2020 / 2021 including being stripped and repainted then reassembled with all new rubbers, all brightwork re chromed or replaced, original wheels refurbished, new tyres, brakes and suspension overhauled, major service of the engine (no end float present), new Dansk sports exhaust, new Solex carb, new Bosch SVDA Distributor, new running boards and a complete interior re trim with new carpets and headlining. The result is a very well sorted car that turns heads everywhere it goes. The car starts with ease, runs and drives as it should and to prove this has recently completed a trip from Edinburgh to Norwich with no issues. A collectable VW Beetle in the best colour which is ready to be enjoyed, what’s not to like? Supplied with the spare wheel, folder of past invoices and details of the restoration as well as the original VW drivers manual, service book and car cover.
