The Appeal
Favoured by royalty and government officials alike, the DS420 was British Leyland’s answer to a full-size limousine. Few cars had such an enormous rear passenger compartment, and those that did such as the Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman and Rolls-Royce Phantom V, cost twice as much to buy.
This 1988 example has been part of the vendor’s wedding hire fleet since 1998. If you’re in the same business or simply adore the supreme luxury of such a car, this looks a very smart example. The interior is particularly good - and these are often the most expensive areas of these cars to restore since there are swathes of leather and highly-figured walnut to attend to. Complete with a current MOT, this Daimler is in roadworthy order in readiness fir its next owner.
